March 23 Today the great Franco Battiato turns 66 and it seemed a good way to celebrate sharing this little known and unpublished work for those who live outside Europe.
This album (double CD presentation and DVD) recorded concert Franco Battiato in Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence, offered on February 17, 2005, under the "X Stratagemmi tour . It's a shame that Sony has decided to reduce costs in time and not to publish a double CD, the concert has been reduced to 60 minutes, eliminating many songs in concert.
Anyway, what is presented here is an exceptional display songs from the album "X Stratagemi ", an unreleased until now ( "Come away death" , a sonnet by Shakespeare) and classic of his repertoire. The sound and images are fabulous, and the contents of the CD and the DVD is the same.
